Ministry of Health cracks down on unregistered medicines in Kurdistan

The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG) has issued a stern warning against the use and distribution of unregistered medicines and medical supplies.

Any location found with unlabeled pharmaceuticals will face strict legal consequences, the ministry declared.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Health cautioned citizens against using any medications or medical supplies lacking proper labeling from the ministry.

“Drugs and medical supplies absent of quality control labels from the ministry of health are deemed illicit and contraband,” the statement emphasized.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health emphasized that companies, warehouses, and pharmacies have been put on notice: any presence of unregistered medicines will be treated as a criminal offense and dealt with severely.
