KRI President Nechirvan Barzani met with Ali Bagheri, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, and his delegation in Erbil today, highlighting the importance of Iran’s ties with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The leaders reiterated their commitment to fostering economic and trade cooperation and emphasized the significance of good neighborly relations for mutual benefit.
Bagheri expressed Iran’s gratitude for the Kurdistan Region’s support of Iranian pilgrims visiting holy sites in southern Iraq, while President Barzani appreciated Iran’s continuous support to both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting also addressed various regional issues of common interest and involved the participation of several officials from the Kurdistan Region.
