According to the Iraqi Meteorological Agency, temperatures are expected to soar well beyond the boiling point in Baghdad and several other provinces.
On Thursday, the temperature spiked to 50 degrees Celsius in Baghdad and six additional provinces, with Najaf and Ziqar recording over 51 degrees Celsius, as reported by the Meteorological and Seismological Agency.
The weather forecast predicts mostly cloudy skies in various provinces with the presence of dust particles in the air.
