Iraq and Turkey are scheduled to convene this week to advance their security cooperation.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced during a press conference in Istanbul, alongside Montenegrin Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic, that efforts to bolster relations with Iraq remain a priority.
Fidan noted that the high-level security committees of both nations will hold their fourth meeting this week. He also highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the two countries following Turkish President Erdogan’s visit to Iraq in April, during which 27 memoranda of understanding were signed.
The High Planning Group, established by the two nations, continues to work towards enhancing bilateral ties.
