Sources affiliated with Lebanon’s Hezbollah reported that walkie-talkies exploded in the group’s stronghold in Beirut.
State media indicated similar incidents involving pagers and other devices in the east and south of the country.
According to a Hezbollah source, multiple walkie-talkies detonated in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Rescuers linked to the group confirmed that devices had exploded within two parked cars in the area.
Lebanon’s National News Agency also reported explosions of pagers and other devices in Hezbollah’s territories in eastern and southern Lebanon, with AFP correspondents noting they heard the blasts as well.
