Iraq imported over $33 million in Iranian nanotechnology products during the fiscal year ending March 19, 2024, as Iran’s exports in this high-tech sector experienced substantial growth, according to Emad Ahmadvand, Secretary of Iran’s Nanotechnology Innovation Council.
Ahmadvand reported that Iran’s total nanotechnology exports surged to $145 million, a 110% increase compared to the previous year’s $69 million.
Domestic sales of nano-products also rose by 104%, driven by strong demand for advanced nano-coating technologies, nano-composites, and nano-catalysts.
Iran’s nanotechnology products reached 49 countries, with Iraq leading imports at $33.5 million, followed by Syria at $20 million, India at $14.9 million, China at $10.4 million, and Turkey at $10.1 million.
