The Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Region has announced that Tuesday, November 19, 2024, is the final deadline for biometric and Unified Personal Number (UPN) registration.
In a statement issued on October 27, 2024, the ministry urged salaried employees, pensioners, individuals with disabilities, and heirs of martyrs who have not yet registered in the biometric system or obtained a UPN to complete the process by this date.
The mandate also applies to employees currently abroad, whether on unpaid leave, pursuing studies, or for other reasons.
Coinciding with Iraq’s general census scheduled for the same day, November 20 has been declared an official holiday in the Kurdistan Region, so November 19 will be the final day for the registrations, It remains uncertain whether the deadline for biometric and UPN registration will be extended.
