The Minister of Planning for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Dara Rashid, has announced the latest population figures for the Kurdistan Region. According to the results, the total population stands at 6,370,668 people.
Speaking at a press conference, Rashid provided a detailed breakdown of the findings, highlighting that 84% of the population resides in urban areas, while 16% live in rural regions.
The number of families in the region has reached 1,379,163, with an average household size of 4.6 people, he added.
In terms of gender distribution, the census recorded 3,200,506 males and 3,170,162 females across the Kurdistan Region.
