The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced on Monday the deployment of armored units to bolster security along the border stretching from Al-Qaim in the south to the Jordanian frontier.
In an official statement, the ministry confirmed the movement of “armored units of the valiant Iraqi army” to reinforce the open borders in this critical region.
The ministry also noted that this deployment follows the recent use of armored and mechanized units to strengthen the northern section west of Nineveh, emphasizing its commitment to securing the nation’s borders.
