The Supreme Council of the Kurdistan Justice Group has announced the expulsion of Hero Attar from the party following her participation in today’s session of the Kurdistan Parliament.
In a statement, the Supreme Council reiterated its decision to boycott the “designed parliament,” citing alleged fraud in the allocation of votes and seats to various parties.
“We in the Kurdistan Justice Group decided not to participate in the ‘designed parliament’ due to manipulation and fraud in the election process. Any member who violates this decision will be removed from Komal’s ranks,” the statement read.
The council clarified that Hero Attar was expelled for attending the session despite the party’s boycott.
The Kurdistan Justice Group secured two seats in Sulaymaniyah and one in Erbil during the sixth session of the Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections held on October 20. This marks a decline from the seven seats it held in the previous session.
