The Kurdistan Region delegation is set to Arrived in Baghdad to discuss amendments to the budget and salary schedules, according to KRG Ministry of Finance and Economy.
The delegation, headed by Awat Sheikh Janab, Minister of Finance and Economy, stated that the purpose of the visit is to address amendments to the Iraqi general budget law for 2025 and to resolve issues surrounding the payment of salaries for employees in the Kurdistan Region.
This visit follows a series of statements from both the KRG’s Ministry of Finance and the Iraqi Ministry of Finance, in which each side accused the other of violating provisions related to the general budget.
