Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stern warning on Wednesday, declaring that Israel will resume its military operations in Gaza unless Hamas releases the Israeli hostages by Saturday.

“If Hamas does not release the Israeli hostages by Saturday, the gates of hell will open on them, as the American president promised,” Katz stated following a meeting with military officials.

He further emphasized that any renewed conflict would be of “greater intensity” than the previous one, adding that the new operation would also facilitate the implementation of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza.

This statement underscores the escalating tensions and the potential for a significant shift in the region’s fragile ceasefire.
