Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, regarding recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, stated that there are calls for negotiations, but challenges remain in finding effective channels for dialogue.
During a visit to Bushehr province, Pezeshkian raised concerns about the perceived inconsistency of advocating for human rights while also supporting actions that lead to the killing of civilians, particularly in relation to Israel, while simultaneously claiming to seek peace in the region.
In his latest comments on Iran, US President Trump expressed a willingness to negotiate on the condition that Iran ends its nuclear program, stating that the alternative could involve either military action or a formal agreement.
Pezeshkian pointed out that some of those advocating for negotiations have been linked to actions resulting in the deaths of 18,000 Iranians, including officials and scientists, and emphasized that differing perspectives exist on how to address Iran’s access to advanced weapons and missiles.
