Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office issued a statement on Thursday emphasizing Israel’s stance toward Tehran’s nuclear program, saying the country “will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons” ahead of Saturday’s U.S.-Iran talks.

The statement said that for over a decade, Israel has led the global campaign against Iran’s nuclear program, even when the threat was labeled “political spin,” adding that such actions have delayed Iran’s nuclear progress.

It further emphasized the Prime Minister’s “withstanding great opposition both at home and abroad to his vigorous policy toward Iran.”

Netanyahu’s remarks came as Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Moscow on Thursday, carrying a written message from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Araghchi said Tehran has always held close consultations with Moscow on the nuclear issue and described the visit as “a good opportunity to do the same with Russian officials.”

A day earlier, Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s position on uranium enrichment, calling it a “non-negotiable” issue while expressing readiness to address related concerns.

The statement from Netanyahu’s office reiterated: “For over a decade, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has led the global campaign against Iran’s nuclear program, even when the threat was belittled and labeled ‘political spin’, and the Prime Minister was called ‘paranoid.’”
