PSG Defeat Arsenal to Reach Champions League Final Against Inter Milan

Paris Saint-Germain booked their spot in the UEFA Champions League final with a 2-1 victory over Arsenal on Wednesday, securing a 3-1 aggregate win in the semi-finals.
Goals from Fabián Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi were enough to see the French champions through, as they overcame a dominant start from Arsenal to advance to the final in Munich on May 31, where they will face Inter Milan.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, Arsenal came out strong at the Parc des Princes, with Gianluigi Donnarumma producing several key saves to keep PSG in the match.
The breakthrough came in the 27th minute when Ruiz unleashed a powerful left-footed strike past David Raya, doubling PSG’s advantage on aggregate.
Though Raya denied Vitinha from the penalty spot in the 69th minute, Hakimi soon followed with a superb goal that gave the hosts a 2-0 lead on the night.
Arsenal pulled one back through Bukayo Saka in the 76th minute, but the winger missed a crucial chance moments later, blasting over the bar and ending Arsenal’s hopes of reaching their first Champions League final since 2006.
PSG now stand one match away from their first-ever European crown, having fallen short in their only previous final appearance in 2020.
