President Rashid Calls for United Global Stance to Secure Regional Stability

Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid called for greater international unity to preserve regional peace and stability.
According to a statement released by the President’s Media Office, President Rashid met with Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed Samir, where both sides reiterated the strength of Iraqi-Egyptian relations. The president described the ties as “deep-rooted” and stressed the need to “enhance them in a way that serves the shared interests of the two brotherly peoples.”
During their discussions, President Rashid emphasized the vital role Iraq and Egypt can play in promoting regional peace and dialogue. He underscored the necessity of collective international action, saying it is crucial to “unify international efforts and positions to end wars that threaten the security and stability of the region and the future of its peoples.”
He further urged nations to “prioritize dialogue and adopt political solutions to resolve disputes between countries in a way that preserves both regional and global peace.”
Ambassador Samir echoed these sentiments, reaffirming Egypt’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Iraq across multiple sectors. He commended President Rashid’s leadership and his ongoing efforts to reinforce peace and stability in the Middle East.
