An Israeli airstrike on Thursday hit a car in Khaldeh, at the southern entrance to Beirut, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.

The strike reportedly killed at least one person and injured three others, as confirmed by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

The Israeli military claimed it targeted an operative involved in arms smuggling for Iran’s Quds Force. Al-Arabiya sources identified the individual as Qassem al-Husseini.

The strike comes despite an ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Iran and a separate U.S.-brokered truce in southern Lebanon. Israeli raids have continued, with Tel Aviv insisting it will prevent Hezbollah from reestablishing military capabilities along the border.
