PUK President and Iranian Acting FM discuss bilateral relations and stability in Kurdistan region, Iraq

The press office of the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan released a statement detailing a meeting between Bafel Jalal Talabani and Ali Bagheri, the Acting Foreign Minister of Iran.
The statement highlighted discussions on enhancing relations and resolving issues between Erbil and Baghdad.
The meeting addressed various aspects including political, economic, and security situations in Kurdistan, Iraq, and the broader region. Emphasis was placed on coordination and joint efforts to ensure stability and tackle challenges collectively.
Both parties reiterated their commitment to continued coordination and meaningful dialogue to address outstanding issues based on constitutional principles and a spirit of fairness and partnership.
Bafel Jalal Talabani underscored the significance of fostering amicable relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iran, particularly with the PUK, emphasizing a strong desire to enhance cooperation and strengthen ties.
Ali Bagheri, speaking on behalf of Iran, expressed gratitude towards the PUK President and the Kurdish people for their participation in the late President Ebrahim Raisi's funeral. He further reiterated Iran's unwavering support for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Bagheri acknowledged President Mam Jalal's role in shaping a new Iraq and highlighted Iran's commitment to maintaining friendly relations with the Kurdistan Region.
