The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) deputy natural resources minister and the General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) reported that a drone targeted the Kormor gas field in Chamchamal, Sulaymaniyah, without causing any casualties.

"The attack took place at around 7 pm on February 2," Ahmed Mufti, KRG deputy natural resources minister, told Channel8.

"There were no casualties and the gas production process was not affected," Ahmed Mufti stated.

Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) issued a statement saying that “explosive-laden drone was targeted at the Kormor gas field in Chamchamal at 7:05 pm on February.”

According to the statement, the attack was carried out by "lawless militias" in the Bashir area of Kirkuk province.

The CTG Directorate confirmed that the attack caused no casualties and that both the field and Dana Gas remained fully protected. “They will closely monitor the violation,” the statement added.
