The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Saturday that four children were injured by shrapnel when a war remnant exploded in the southeastern part of Manbij, a region under the control of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

According to SOHR data, since the beginning of 2025, a total of 435 civilians — including 15 children and 26 women — have been killed by the explosion of war remnants across Syria.

Additionally, 477 others have been injured, among them 209 children and 13 women.

In areas controlled by the AANES, SOHR documented the deaths of 30 civilians, including 15 children and two women, as well as injuries to 62 others — among them 47 children and two women — due to war remnant explosions.

Meanwhile, in regions under the control of the Damascus government, 340 civilians — including 18 women and 89 children — have been killed. Among the fatalities were eight truffle pickers, including a woman and a child. Another 336 civilians were wounded, including 129 children and five women. The injured also included six truffle pickers, among them three children.
