Norwegian oil and gas company DNO reported a sharp increase in crude production from its fields in the Kurdistan Region during the fourth quarter of 2025, saying output at the Tawke and Pishkhabur fields reached nearly 88,000 barrels per day.

In its quarterly disclosure, DNO said average daily production in the Kurdistan Region rose to 87,823 barrels per day in the final quarter of the year, marking a 43% increase compared with earlier periods.

The company attributed the rebound to the restoration of production capacity after earlier disruptions. Output had fallen sharply in mid-2025 following drone attacks that affected oil infrastructure, pushing production down to about 58,000 barrels per day in the third quarter. DNO said full production capacity was restored by the end of the year.

Global Production Breakdown

According to the company’s oil division summary, DNO’s average production during the reporting period stood at:

• 52,600 barrels per day in the Kurdistan Region
• 54,800 barrels per day in the North Sea
• 3,300 barrels per day in Africa

Record Output at Tawke Field

DNO also revealed that cumulative production at the Tawke field reached a record 500 million barrels over the past year. The Norwegian firm holds a 75% stake in the field, one of the largest producing assets in the Kurdistan Region.

Shareholder Returns

In its financial update, the company said it distributed $130 million to shareholders in dividends during 2025, reflecting improved operational performance and higher production levels.
DNO remains one of the largest international oil producers operating in the Kurdistan Region, where output has been affected in recent years by security incidents, export disruptions, and political disputes between Erbil and Baghdad.
