Sulaymaniyah's Non-Oil Revenue Drops Over 50% in Weekly Report
According to the latest data from the Shafafiat (Transparency) platform, Sulaymaniyah and its surrounding regions experienced a notable decline in non-oil revenue over the past week, with figures dropping below 5 billion dinars.
Shafafiat, a platform that regularly reports on non-oil revenues from Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, and other areas, released its weekly figures covering March 7 to March 13. The total revenue collected during this period amounted to 4,092,551,000 dinars.
This represents a 50.8% decrease compared to the previous week, when revenue was reported at 8,322,364,000 dinars.
Revenue Split: 71% Cash, 29% Checks
The platform further indicated that 71% of the total weekly revenue, equivalent to 2,899,192,000 dinars, was received in cash. The remaining 29%, totaling 1,193,358,000 dinars, was received via check payments.
Overseeing Sulaymaniyah non-oil revenue
Non-oil revenue collection in Sulaymaniyah is managed through six treasuries and is recorded on the Shafafiat platform by a team of 828 employees. These employees are sourced from 28 ministries and boards, 109 general directorates, 516 directorates, and 781 departments.
