U.S. President Donald Trump issued a renewed warning to Iran, saying time is running out for Tehran to reach a deal or reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Iran had 48 hours to act, warning of escalation if no agreement is reached.

“Time is running out, 48 hours before all hell will reign down on them,” Trump wrote, urging Tehran to “make a deal” or reopen the strategic waterway.

The statement follows earlier ultimatums by Trump threatening to target Iran’s energy infrastructure if the Strait of Hormuz remains restricted, a move that could significantly disrupt global oil supplies.

The latest remarks come amid continued conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, with rising tensions over control of the strait, which carries a significant share of global energy shipments.

There was no immediate response from Iranian officials to Trump’s latest comments.
