The Kurdistan Region Security Agency (Asayish) released an official security update detailing drone activity targeting the region over a 24-hour period.

According to the agency’s statement, the village of Zirgwezala was targeted by an airborne attack involving two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at approximately 9:25 p.m. local time on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Casualty and Damage Report

Local security officials confirmed that the strikes caused property damage but resulted in no civilian or military casualties.

Zirgwezala, located in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate, has previously been a focal point for regional security operations.
