Spain’s La Liga on Monday said it was analyzing a video of a child making racist taunts toward Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior at the 2-2 draw with Valencia over the weekend.

“We’re in the process of studying and analyzing the facts from a legal standpoint to see what we can and should do,” sources from La Liga said.

A video displayed by a journalist from ESPN Brasil showed a boy sitting in a woman’s lap calling Vinicius a monkey.

Vinicius scored twice for Madrid while his team recovered from two goals down at Mestalla on Saturday.

He raised his fist in a black power salute after the first of his two goals at a location where he suffered racial abuse last season. Valencia banned three people for life from the stadium.

Vinicius has become a symbol of the battle against racism in Spanish football after facing racist abuse on a number of occasions. He was jeered several times by home supporters on Saturday.

Jude Bellingham was sent off after the last whistle against Valencia for protesting after the referee blew the final whistle just before the England midfielder headed home what he believed to be the winning goal.
