The latest results of the Iraqi Council of Representatives elections show Kurdish parties securing 58 seats across Iraq, including 44 seats within the Kurdistan Region and 14 seats in Kirkuk, Nineveh, Diyala and Baghdad.

Erbil: KDP leads with nine seats

Erbil province, which has 15 seats, saw four Kurdish parties share representation:

Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP): 9 seats

Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK): 3 seats

Stance: 2 seats

New Generation Movement: 1 seat

Sulaymaniyah: Most competitive province

Sulaymaniyah, home to 18 seats, recorded the most diverse political competition, with the PUK leading overall:

PUK: 8 seats

Stance: 3 seats

New Generation Movement: 2 seats

KDP: 2 seats

Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU): 2 seats

Kurdistan Justice Group: 1 seat

Duhok: KDP maintains dominance

In Duhok, the KDP secured a commanding win:

KDP: 9 seats

Kurdistan Islamic Union: 2 seats

Kirkuk and Nineveh: 12 Kurdish seats in disputed territories

Kurdish parties won a total of 12 seats across Kirkuk and Nineveh.

Kirkuk:

PUK: 4 seats

KDP: 1 seat

Nineveh:

KDP: 5 seats

PUK: 2 seats

Diyala and Baghdad: Two seats for Kurdish parties

Outside the Kurdistan Region, Kurdish parties secured two additional seats:

Diyala: KDP — 1 seat

Baghdad: PUK — 1 seat
