The gunman subsequently fled to the Akre Stadium, where he brandished a pistol and actively refused orders to surrender. 

Moving across at least three different locations to evade capture, the suspect finally appeared armed near the victims' funeral service, where he issued direct threats to grieving family members before ultimately surrendering.
