Iraq sends 482 tons of aid to Gaza in ongoing support efforts

The spokesperson for the Iraqi armed forces recently announced that a significant aid delivery of 482 tons of food has been dispatched to assist Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip.

This humanitarian assistance initiative was begun by the Iraqi Defense Ministry following a directive from the Iraqi Council of Ministers on February 27.

Major-General Yehia Rasool, acting as the spokesperson for the commander-in-chief of the Iraqi armed forces, conveyed in a statement that this aid shipment is part of a broader national campaign championed by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani to gather essential support for Gaza’s refugees.

The aid, coordinated in collaboration with officials from the Ghabawy warehouse in Jordan, was handed over with the presence of representatives from the Jordanian Charity Board and UNRWA.

Rasool reaffirmed the commitment of Iraq to sustain efforts in assisting the Palestinian people during these challenging times.
