The Iraqi government has announced a public holiday on Thursday on the occasion of Newroz.
The Secretariat-General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers announced on Saturday that Thursday (March 21) will be a public holiday in all Iraqi government institutions and educational centers.
According to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) calendar, March 21–23 is an official holiday in the Kurdistan Region.
