According to information obtained by Channel8, a bomb dating from the time of Islamic State (ISIS) presence in the area exploded near the village of Bashir in Kirkuk’s Taza Khurmatu sub-district.
One child was killed in the blast and another seriously injured. The children were both shepherds.
The injured child was taken to Kirkuk General Hospital and later, because of the severity of his injury, was transferred to a hospital in Sulaymaniyah.
