In a recent development, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has dispatched 50 tons of aid materials to Ukraine as part of their ongoing support efforts, the country’s official news agency, WAM reported.

The UAE remains committed to providing aid to Ukraine in order to alleviate the hardships faced by the Ukrainian people due to the ongoing conflict, as highlighted by the agency on Wednesday.

The humanitarian assistance, consisting of 50 tons of food supplies, was sent to Ukraine on Wednesday via air transit through Poland, ultimately reaching its intended destination, as per the report.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that the Emirati diplomatic mission located in Poland will be responsible for supervising the delivery of aid to Ukraine.

The report underscored Abu Dhabi’s dedication to supporting Ukraine, emphasizing that since the commencement of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the UAE has been actively providing humanitarian aid to Kyiv. This includes setting up an aerial aid bridge and offering a substantial $100 million aid package to assist Ukrainian civilians.

Notably, Russia initiated what it termed a “special military operation” in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
