Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani said that any additional delay of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections would negatively impact the Kurdistan Region.
Talabani said that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has completed all necessary preparations for the forthcoming elections and stressed the importance of conducting a fair and transparent election that is acknowledged by both the public and local as well as international observers.
He hopes that all parties will recognize the critical nature of the current stage and the importance of holding the elections, saying that any further delay in the electoral process will have detrimental effects on the Region.
Talabani emphasized the need to collaborate with the Iraqi government to address the issue of public sector salaries.
