During a recent interview with Channel8 ahead of a NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba made a compelling plea for NATO members to expedite the delivery of the Patriot missile system to Ukraine to combat Russian drone assaults.

Highlighting the severity of the situation, Kuleba pointed out that a staggering 94 ballistic missiles were unleashed on Ukraine in the month of March alone—an unparalleled occurrence globally. He stressed the urgent need for deploying the Patriot system in Ukraine to effectively defend against such attacks.

Furthermore, Kuleba highlighted a recent incident in Kharkiv where 20 Shahid drones were launched, resulting in the tragic loss of four lives.

He emphasized the critical necessity for additional batteries of Patriot platforms to be swiftly provided to Ukraine to tackle the escalating threat of Russian air terrorism.

By shedding light on the relentless barrage of missile attacks faced by Ukraine on a daily basis, amounting to an alarming average of three missiles per day in March, Kuleba underscored the essentiality of bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities through increased deployment of Patriot systems in the country.
