The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, told Channel8 that they encourage all factions and political entities to participate in the democratic process of the Kurdistan’s parliamentary elections.
He stated, “They want Kurdistan parliamentary elections to be held.”
On the other hand,US Secretary of State Blinken warned of policy changes if necessary steps aren’t taken by Israel following Biden’s call with Prime Minister Netanyahu, signaling a shift in US policy on Gaza based on specific actions to address civilian harm and humanitarian suffering.
This follows a deadly attack on aid workers prompting calls for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian assistance in the region.
Israel’s actions have been criticized by the international community amid accusations of genocide in Gaza.
