Jafar Yazarloo, the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization spokesman, said Iran Air carried 3,094,455 passengers to different regions of Iran during the Newroz holidays.
Iranian media reported that Iran Air allocated 155 aircraft and provided 45,000 seats for flights during Newroz.
The Newroz holidays last for 14 days, during which time, millions travel by air and road.
The 13th day of Newroz, called Sianzabader, is celebrated with ceremonies and celebrations, when Iranians say goodbye to the previous year and welcome the new one.
