PUK’s Talabani, Barzani arrive in Baghdad for talks with ruling coalition

The leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Jalal Talabani, and the Deputy President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Nechirvan Barzani, arrived separately in Baghdad.

Talabani and Barzani arrived in the Iraqi capital to attend a meeting of the federal government’s ruling coalition, where they will discuss the latest developments in the Iraqi political arena, the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to the United States, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan’s upcoming visit to Baghdad, and several other key issues related to the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Presidency said in a statement that Barzani will also attend a meeting of the ruling coalition where he will meet with Sudani and the Iraqi president.
