According to a statement from the police, 10 illegal immigrants holding Afghan citizenship were apprehended in the SaidSadiq district of Sulaimaniyah province.
The immigrants admitted to entering the Kurdistan Region unlawfully from Iran with intentions of traveling to central and southern cities in Iraq.
Sulaymaniyah authorities reported that the individuals have been detained in accordance with article 39 of the residence law.
