Iraq’s migration minister says all refugees to be returned from Sulaymaniyah

The Iraqi Minister of Migration and Displacement said another convoy of refugees will return to their home locations from Sulaymaniyah in the coming days and the presence of refugees in the province will come to an end.

According to the schedule of the ministry, the deadline for the complete closure of refugee camps in the Kurdistan Region is July 30.

The Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Fayeq Jabro, met with Badr al-Fahl, the governor of Salahaddin, to discuss the plan to close the camps and implement recommendations of the Council of Ministers for the return of refugees, in particular to the plan to allocate 2 percent of the governorate’s education contracts to refugees.
