Hasaka goes seven months without clean drinking water

The Water Administration in Hasaka in Rojava has announced the city has been deprived of potable drinking water for seven months due to the disruption from the Turkish government to the water supply from Elok station.

Rojava media said residents of Hasaka need 130,000 cubic meters of clean water per day but residents of the city use water tankers distributed by the local government in 800 water tankers per day.

The Turkish government and allied forces took control of the city of Serekani in the south of Syria and the Elok station came under their control.
