Dutch consulate in Erbil shuts down amid Iran-Israel tension

The Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands said it has suspended work at the Dutch consulate in Erbil in anticipation of an Iranian attack.

Channel8 reporter in the Netherlands Bahman Hassan said Amsterdam has decided to suspend work at the Dutch embassy in Tehran as well as the consulate in Erbil because of developments in the Middle East and the threat of an attack against Israel.

The Dutch Foreign Ministry has also called on its citizens to avoid areas of tension in the Middle East.
