Middle East airlines resume flights following Iran’s attack on Israel

Major airlines in the Middle East said they are resuming activity in the region after canceling and rerouting some flights in fear of Iran’s attack on Israel from Saturday night into Sunday, The Edge Malaysia reported.

Emirates Airlines, was resuming flights to and from Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq Sunday afternoon, a spokesperson said.

Qatar Airways announced it was resuming flights to Amman, Beirut, and Baghdad, while Etihad Airways was planning to begin passenger and cargo flights between Abu Dhabi, Tel Aviv, Amman, and Beirut on Monday.

Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon said on Sunday morning they have reopened airspace after the overnight attacks, while Israel reopened its airspace on Sunday morning.

A number of other countries temporarily closed their airspace, including Lebanon, Egypt, and Kuwait.
