Electoral commission to prepare 173 polling stations for Kurdistan elections

The Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) will prepare 173 polling stations for general voting and seven other polling stations for special voting in all four constituencies for the Kurdistan parliamentary elections, a spokesperson said.

The IHEC has prepared four samples of ballot papers for the four constituencies, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, and Halabja governorates, spokeswoman Jumana Ghalai told Channel8 on Monday.

An example is prepared for special elections.

She said the samples will be installed for the elections after approval by the council of commissioners.

The commission will establish 173 polling stations in the Kurdistan Region and seven special polling stations in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, and Halabja.
