National Security Advisor of Iraq and Iran confer on regional security cooperation

In a meeting during the 12th international gathering of senior security officials in St. Petersburg, Russia, National Security Advisor Qassim Al-Araji engaged in discussions with Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary-General of the Iranian National Security Council.

The talks, centered on the latest security developments in the region, aimed at enhancing collaboration between Baghdad and Tehran across various domains such as security, intelligence, border control, counterterrorism, and drug enforcement.

Emphasizing the need for global solidarity in tackling regional challenges, Al-Araji underscored the significance of united efforts to avert crises and conflicts, thereby averting their widespread implications on the regional landscape.
