Iran’s naval forces ensure maritime security

Iran’s Navy Commander, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, stated that the country’s naval forces are actively escorting Iranian ships in regions under threat to secure maritime trade and economic interests.

Speaking at the Cultural and Artistic Festival of the National Persian Gulf Day, Irani emphasized the importance of safeguarding key shipping lanes like the Gulf of Aden and the Atlantic Ocean.

Highlighting Iran’s maritime dominance achievements during the Iran-Iraq war, Irani underscored the role of the Navy in protecting vital economic hubs such as Bandar Imam, Bushehr, and Khark Oil Terminal.

He praised the Navy’s efforts in ensuring the safety and security of sailors and merchants, particularly in areas where adversaries of Iran operate.

Irani reiterated Iran’s military capabilities and the continued success of the armed forces, referencing recent operations like Operation True Promise.

This operation saw the IRGC Aerospace Force launching missiles and drones at military targets in retaliation for an airstrike that killed Iranian military personnel in Syria.

Amidst these victories, the commander affirmed Iran’s commitment to upholding maritime security and protecting its economic interests from external threats.
