The Iraqi High Election Commission (IHEC) is actively progressing with the arrangements for the upcoming elections in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
According to the head of the Erbil branch of the Iraqi Election Commission speaking to Channel8, preparations for the Kurdistan parliamentary elections are ongoing.
He mentioned that in the event of a delay in the election date, they will adhere to the regional decree and the commission’s instructions.
Concurrently, Amanj Aziz, the head of the Sulaimani office of the Iraqi Independent High Election Commission, confirmed to Channel8 that their operations are running smoothly without any interruptions.
As per the Kurdistan Region residency Decree, the Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections are set to take place on June 10.
