IHEC begins printing ballots for KRI parliamentary elections

The Iraqi Independent High Election Commission (IHEC) has initiated the printing of ballots for the upcoming Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections.

According to Jumana al-Ghalai, spokesperson for the IHEC, the commission is actively carrying out election procedures, including the printing of voting forms specifically designed for the Kurdistan parliamentary elections.

Al-Ghalai explained that there are a total of five voting forms, with one intended for special voting and the remaining four allocated for the different constituencies within the Kurdistan Region.

However, despite these preparations, the Kurdistan Region Presidency has yet to reach a consensus on the election process, leading to some uncertainties surrounding the upcoming elections.

The Kurdistan Region Presidency has officially scheduled the sixth round of parliamentary elections to take place on June 10, 2024.
