TBI takes steps to localize salaries for Kurdistan Region employees

In a bid to implement directives from the Federal Supreme Court and the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the Iraqi Trade Bank (TBI) is actively engaging in the process of localizing the salaries of Kurdistan Regional Government employees.

A dedicated delegation from TBI, led by the director of the Erbil branch, met with regional government officials in Erbil Governorate to discuss the mechanics of salary localization for employees.

During the meeting, discussions included the establishment of accounts, issuance of electronic cards, and the installation of ATMs across the region to facilitate cash withdrawals for employees.

The TBI delegation emphasized the significance of this initiative to Prime Minister Al-Sudani, who is personally overseeing its progress due to its importance for the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The Trade Bank of Iraq assured the regional government of its full readiness to provide salary localization services and issue electronic cards to government employees in Kurdistan.

They are now awaiting the submission of employee lists and supporting documents from the regional government to commence the salary localization process without delay.
