The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, received the president, vice presidents, and other members of the Kurdistan Regional Court of Appeal on Tuesday afternoon.
The meeting, which was attended by the minister of justice, focused on the issue of the delay of a decision from the Iraqi federal government over the Kurdistan Parliamentary Election Law and the resulting legal dimensions and possible consequences.
Barzani stressed that the Kurdistan Region’s Presidency and relevant parties will take all constitutional and legal measures to hold the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections. He also stated the feedback from Tuesday’s meeting was of importance, and serious work will be carried out on its behalf.
