Winter weather brings traffic to standstill in Kermanshah

Seventy-five vehicles have been pulled out of the snow in the province of Kermanshah, Iran, in the past 24 hours.

Shahram Kahrezi, the supervisor general of roads in Kermanshah, said that some of the main roads in the province have been closed due to heavy snowfall.

Kahrezi said 75 vehicles were pulled out of the snow by the provincial municipality teams.

Meanwhile, 780 kilometers of roads in the province have been cleared of snow in 24 hours.

“So far, 420 tons of sand and salt have been poured on the roads of the province,” he said.
