Official Iranian news agencies, including Mehr News Agency and Mashregh News, have published a judiciary report outlining legal and security measures taken during the past 77 days, a period coinciding with the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.
The report, titled “The Judiciary’s Record Over the Past 77 Days,” states that Iranian authorities executed 30 people, issued prison sentences to dozens of others and seized assets belonging to hundreds of journalists, activists and public figures.
According to the judiciary report cited by state media, authorities prioritized security-related cases during the period, including the enforcement of legislation that increased penalties for espionage.
The report said the judiciary focused on security prosecutions, asset confiscation measures and the allocation of confiscated assets toward reconstruction projects.
Iranian judicial authorities said 10 of the executed individuals were convicted on espionage-related charges, while 20 others were executed on charges linked to protests and terrorism, according to the report.
The judiciary did not immediately provide further details about the identities of those executed or the legal proceedings in individual cases.
The reported figures differ from statistics cited by some human rights organizations, which say the number of political and security-related executions in Iran during the same period may be higher.
According to human rights sources referenced in reporting, at least 32 political and security prisoners have reportedly been executed since February 28.
The judiciary report also said authorities issued long-term prison sentences against 36 individuals during the 77-day period.
It added that 262 land plots and real estate properties were confiscated, while the assets of more than 400 reporters, journalists and political and social activists were seized.
Authorities also reportedly blocked the bank accounts of dozens of athletes, social media figures and political and cultural activists.
